Guild Mr. Frank Strong 1 enclose copy of letter fro® th® mayor of La® Vegas, concerning th® question of producing sufficient water to supply the large number of homes which are extracted to materialize in Lae Vega® in the very near future, we received this letter 16 minutes before press time, but were able to persuade the editor to hold his issue until we had tine to wake a reply, which you will note, is in-eluded with attached newspaper clippings. Mayor this evening, in detail. He stated considerable pressure was being appliod by various factions around town who felt that the Water Company and Power Company were doing their beat to prevent further growth of the town and to have the 2,000 homes for magnesium plant employees located some­where other than Lae Vegas. *re told him that this was not even logical, as additional customers meant additional revenues to both the water Company and Power Company; but e also dlscusssed this matter with his Honor the
