f PUBLIC SERVICE, COMMISSION OF NEVADA CARSOH CITT August 21, 193^ Mr. Walter Bracken, Manager Las Vegas Land and Mater Company Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Sir! While you and Mr, Oonolly were in the office last Saturday you stated you would return on Monday of this week and discuss with me your increased rate schedule of Las Vegas Land and Water Company, Inasmuch as you did not return on Monday I am assuming you have returned to Las Vegas. I have given the schedule much thought since Saturday and have come to the conclusion that since this is an increase in rates It must The on file for thirty days. I have also read the city ordinance relative to the sprinkling of lawns and believe if the City Council concurred that an amendment could be added to the ordinance to curtail the waste of water in ice machines and cooling of roofs. I believe roof cooling could be stopped immediately and the waste in ice machines could be stopped in at least ten days, giving these customers time in which to build cooling towers. This would be & speedy remedy to stop the waste of water. I I have made up Notice for the public for the change in schedule of rates, but as I do not know their names I am asking that your office mail these out to the consumers that will be effected. Under separate cover I am mailing you these notices, envelopes and stamps. I will mail notice direct to the Las Vegas papers. Mill you kindly advise names and addresses to whom these notices were sent. Very truly yours, i/ l®@ m scott Secretary
