PROPOSED ORDINANCE Agriculture PROPOSED ORDINANCE Height Regulation PROPOSED ORDINANCE Setback PROPOSED ORDINANCE Rezoning PARKING LOT 4th & Ogden SCOTCH "80" ADDN Resubdivision Final Map Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Whipple. Commissioner Jarrett stated he wrote the insurance on this building. Commissioner Bunker moved the application of A. F. Winter, Milton Prell, Joe Hall, Montrose Bernstein and L. B. Scherer for a restaurant license at the Lucky Strike Club, 117 Fremont, be approved subject to a separation between the restaurant and the casino. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Whipple. At this time the Board considered the request of the United States Government for additional land in portions of Section 28 and Section 33, T19S, R62E, MDB&M. Thereafter Commissioner Bunker moved this request be granted subject to ingress and egress to property the City still retains in this area. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Whipple. At this time the Board considered the petition of Christian V. Carstensen and others to vacate a portion of North 9th Street extending west of Block 3, Lots 2-6, Grandview Addition to the east line of Lot "I", Bucks Addition and the east line of 9th Street. Thereafter Commissioner Bunker moved the public hearing on this petition for vacation be set for July 21, 1954 at 7:30 P.M. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Jarrett, Bunker, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Whipple. It was reported that the President of the Union Pacific Railroad would be in Las Vegas the end of June to discuss further the matter of the disposition of the Old Ranch property. Commissioner Sharp moved to hold approval on the tentative map of Dawson Park in abeyance pending additional information on this matter. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none Absent: Commissioner Whipple. Commissioner Sharp moved the tentative map of the Magrini Subdivision be approved subject to a 60 foot street being obtained by the Right Of Way Department. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Whipple. Commissioner Jarrett moved the request of the Clark County Sheriffs Relief Assn for permission to hold a Fireworks Display at Cashman Field on July 3, 1954, be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Whipple. At this time Commissioner Bunker member of the committee for recommendation on the proposed agriculture ordinance asked for additional time before reporting. Commissioners Jarrett and Sharp members of the Committee on recommendation on the proposed height regulation ordinance asked for additional time before reporting. At this time Commissioner Jarrett member of the committee on recommendation on the proposed setback ordinance asked for additional time before reporting. At this time an ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION IV OF ORDINANCE NO. 378, REFERRED TO AS SECTION 10 CHAPTER 24, of THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE, 1949, BY AMENDING THE LAND USE PLAN MAP ADOPTED BY THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, AND CHANGING THE ZONE DESIGNATION OF CERTAIN AREAS ON THE SAID MAP, was read by title to the Board and referred to Commissioners Jarrett and Sharp for study and recommendation. At this time the Commission considered leasing property at 4th and Ogden for a parking lot. Thereafter Commissioner Sharp moved that the City Engineer, City Attorney and Chief of Police be authorized to negotiate with B. H. Johnson for the leasing of Lots 17, 18, 19 and 20, Block 23; CLVT, and report back to the Commission at the next meeting with a form of contract. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Whipple. At this time further discussion was held on the approval of the final map of the Scotch "80" Addition. Thereafter Commissioner Sharp moved the final resubdivision map be approved. 6-16-54
