White - Omaha Referring to your letter of February 15, 1952 File BSD 16-1 regarding over-deduction a of Social Security Tar. on office payroll and Form 17?, Extra Labor Payroll: Payroll, have been made on payroll period week ending February 22, 1952 with the exception of the adjustment for Ra|gph W. Brenz, who left service on February 9, 1952. Mr. Brenz has not furnished us with a forwarding address, and in view of this, I suggest that refund of $2.64 due Mr. Brenz be held until forwarding address has been secured. Adjustment for Form 290-1, office payroll, will be made on payroll period ending February 29, 1952. deductions, but it has been our understanding heretofore that the Social Security Tax deduction was lf^ of the total monthly earnings until a maximum annual deduction of #54.00 had been made. Security Tax deductions will not exceed $4.50 for any one month per employee.
