March_Health_Awareness_Report
The Health Awareness Committee met on March 14, 1994 at the
home of Soror Dorothy M. Johnson at 6:30 PM with Sorors
Janet Rhoden, Lillian Gates, Villa White and Ouida Brown in
attendance.
We are still planning our teaching event to be held
sometimes in October during National Cancer Month. A
timetable was discussed and committees set up to cover
research and development, communications, publicity and
damage control. A News Release written by Soror Dorothy was
approved for publication. Copies were reproduced and sent
out the following day. All members are requested to watch
all print media for the published article.
During the last week of the month, Peggy Toy, Western
Regional Director called and was given an update on our
activities. A copy of the Presentation and News Release had
been mailed to her, but she had not received it. She
appeared to be very pleased with our activities and stated
she would be calling me again during the first of April and
before our next committee meeting with further data.
Todate, none of the PanHellenic members have contacted me.
The next committee meeting will be hel^ at my home on
Monday, April 11, 1994 at 6:30 PM.

Inn/ Health Awareness Committee met on Monday/ February 10/ 1990 AT THE HOME OF SOROR DOROTHY M. JOHNSON AT 6:30 PM.
The presentation to be given on February 23/ 1 990 TO the Panhellenic Council was completed with copies to be made for DISTRIBUTION TO THE MEMBERS.
The presentation on "Local Coalition Orientation MEETING/ inn VEfiAS' Nevada" was actually made on MONDAY/ February 28» 1990 AND THE MEMBERS WERE REQUESTED TO NOTIFY ME BY PHONE OF THEIR ORGANIZATION'S DECISION BY MARCH 12/ 1990.
TO DATE/ I HAVE HAD AFFIRMATIVE ANSWERS FROM
Alpha Pha Alpha and the Pan Hellenic Council.
Soror Jackie has volunteered to be our
SECRETARY.

The next meeting will be held on MONDAY/ March 10/ 1990 AT THE HOME OF SOROR DOROTHY'S AT 6:30 PM. At THAT TIME/ WE PLAN TO SET UP COMMITTEES NEEDED WITH GUIDELINES FOR ACHIEVING GOALS AND OBJECTIVES.
Much planning must be done if we are to implement a massive TEACHING DAY DURING THE MONTH OF OCTOBER 1990. THEREFORE/ WE ARE URGING ALL COMMITTEE MEMBERS TO ATTEND THE MEETING. IN FACT/ ALL SORORS ARE WELCOME.
