    Las Vegas, Nevada April 25, 1950 CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING TOs SHIRLEY BALLINGER, City Clerk Las Vegas, Nevada A Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas is hereby called tp he held in the Council Chambers at the City Hall, on the twenty - fifth day of April 1950 at the hour of 3:00 P.M. to consider the following matters: 1. Public Hearing - Assessment Roll #7-1950 2. Public Hearing - Assessment District #100-7 3. City Owned Lard - L. A. Highway 4. Liquor Application - Floyd J. Cope 5. Gaming Application - Southern Nevada Vending, Jack's Coffee Shop 6. Proposed Ordinance - Water 7. Public Hearing on Assessment Districts Nos. 200-1, 200-2 and 100-3 8. City lax Rate - Protest 9. Proposed Ordinance - Loud Speakers 10. Garbage Contract - Supplemental Agreement 11. Proposed Ordinance - Street Lights /s/ E. W. Cragin.___________ E. W. Cragin, Mayor NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING TO: E. W. CRAGIN, Mayor and to WENDELL BUNKER, R. T. MOORE, WILLIAM PECCOLE, REED WHIPPLE, Commissioners, and C. W. SHELLEY, City Manager and HOWARD W. CANNON, City Attorney of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada You and each of you will please take notice that pursuant to a call this day issued by Mayor Cragin, a Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas , Nevada will be held in the Council Chambers at the City Hall, 5th and Stewart, on the twenty-fifth day of April 1950 . at the hour of 3:00 P.M. to consider the following matters: 1. Public Hearing - Assessment Roll #7-1950 2. Public Hearing - Assessment Roll #100-7 3. City Owned Land - L. A. Highway 4. Liquor Application - Floyd J. Cope 5. Gaming Application - Southern Nevada Vending, Jack's Coffee Shop 6. Proposed Ordinance - Water 7. Public Hearing on Assessment Districts Nos. 200-1, 200-2 and 100-3 8. City Tax Rate - Protest 9. Proposed Ordinance - Loud Speakers RADIO EQUIPMENT Commissioner Moore moved the City Manager be instructed to purchase necessary radio equipment for the Police Department. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. SALARY CHANGE Commissioner Whipple moved the recommendation of the City Manger on salary adjustments be approved with the exception of William Hartman, whose salary is to remain sis it is, these changes to be effective May 1, 1950. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting "aye"; noes, none. HELLDORADO BEAUTY Commissioner Peccole moved that $50.00 be appropriated for the City's entry PARADE in the Helldorado Beauty Parade. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none There being no further business to come before the meeting at this time, Commissioner Moore moved this meeting adjourn until May 5, 1950 at 3:00 P.M. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting "aye"; noes, none.
