Maguire: Please note the attached b i l l from Roscoe Moss Company, in regard to work on the las Vegas w ell, I was very much surprised to receive this b i l l , as i t would seem to me that any cementing necessary should be handled by the contractor, as i t is my jfhderstanding that this cementing was made necessary by ar reduction in the size of the casing. / I had talked with Roscoe Jloss several times about having a w ell that would not l e a ^ as a l l surface water at that point had been pumped away if and this was thoroughly understood by Crane who did thaf d r illin g . However, before the job was finished Crane lejft on aooount of sickness and another man completed the w o k and did not do the fin a l cementing to keep the w ell firom leaking. 'I f e lt that Roscoe Moss should take carif of th is, but.he showed no inclination to do so, and September 15th Crane went out and cemented the welSj thdfs item shows on the b i l l and I have no real objectft^n^o paying th is, but I would like your opinion, with return of the b i l l , as to what reply I should make to the Roscoe Moss Gompany.
