Las Vegas » Dee. 8, 1950 N 25-6 COPY Mr. E.E. Bennett% Referring to the proposed new schedule of Rates, Rules and Regulations to be filed with the Public Service Commission for approval. X have gone over these and respectfully suggest consideration be given to the following changes? Eliminate "Tariff No. Containing” from the title sheet. Chairman Allard of the Public Service Commission advises while it is customary for the Railroads to file by tariff numbers, this is not the case with Utilities, and their rate schedules are identified by the date effective. The proposed Schedule of Rates appears to be generally satisfactory with one or two minor exceptions which will not affeot the total revenues appreciably? Rate No. 22 - County Court House $9.58. Our original rate schedule provides for 08.33 per month but in the past year they have added a new 2-Btory addition on the east side of the Court House and it would appear that a rate of $15.00 per month would be equitable. Rate No. 36 - County Jail, Free. Suggest this classification be eliminated as the County Jail is in the basement of the Court House and its rate would be included in Rate No. 22 referred to above. Rate No. 43 Parks, City. There is a small City park at 8th & Charleston. Suggested rate $10. Rate No. 4? - To avoid controversy as to what constitutes a rooming house and that constitutes a hotel, suggest this be consolidated with Rate No. 32 to read, “Hotels, Lodging or rooming houses*. ' Rate No. 48 - Suggest the words “lees than* be inserted in item (b) after the word “occupying*. In Rules and Regulations: Suggest inasmuch as Rule charged with all elimination of last paragraph on page 8 No. 6 provides the owner of premises will be water services.
