San Larenzo, etc. They are- little towns near Juarez. The people from these towns used to be famous for growing grapes but now cotton Is practically the ex- clusive crop. XII. ) About religion.. The priest at the Guadalupe is Monseigneur Baudelio Pelayo. He has been act- ing for 18 years in this city and has done a lot for the poor people. He takes care of an orphan home. He built a Boys Town here in Juarez. His efforts now are to finish the new Guadalupe Church. Religion has a strong hold on the people. The Spanish conquest and religion came togethers the Spanish brought not only their soldiers but their priests. The first towns were built around the Church. The na- tional hero, Miguel Hidalgo, who
