Baker His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple opened the meeting with the statement that they were happy to have with them the duly elected mayor, Oran Gragson, who was going to sit in at this meeting. PAYROLL WARRANTS Commissioner Sharp moved that Regular Payroll Warrant Nos. 37098 - 37681 in the net amount of $85,975.93, and Overtime Payroll Warrant Nos. 37682 - 37687 in the net amount of $90.96, for the pay period from June 16 - June 30, 1959, be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor C. D. Baker. TRANSFER OF CREDIT Commissioner Fountain moved the transfer of Credit Union Withholding in the amount UNION WITHHOLDING of $17,292.30 be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor C. D. Baker. SERVICE AND MATERIAL Commissioner Elwell moved that Service and Material Warrant Nos. 1731 - 1906 in WARRANTS the amount of $128,671.85 be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes none. Absent: Mayor C. D. Baker. MINUTES Commissioner Fountain moved that the minutes of June 17, 1959, be approved by June 17, 1959 reference and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain and Sharp voting aye; noes, none. His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple passed his vote. Absent: Mayor C. D. Baker. CHARITABLE SOLICITATION Commissioner Sharp moved that the following Charitable Solicitation Permits, as PERMITS approved by the Solicitation Review Board, be approved and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the permits: Approved FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH, NAOMI CIRCLE - Ice Cream Social and Rummage Sales LAS VEGAS SHRINE CLUB - Ticket Sale to Shrine Circus VARIETY CLUB OF SOUTHERN NEVADA - Annual "Night of Stars" POLICE PROTECTIVE ASSOCIATION - Ticket Sale to Football Game Motion seconded by Commissioner Elwell and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. McNamee) for Tavern License, Cigarette License and Gaming as New listed below at the New Town Tavern, 600 Jackson Street, be approved and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the licenses: (Police report was New Town Tavern favorable on applicants). Nash for Beer and Wine CIGARETTE APPLICATION License, Cigarette License and License for 3 Slots at the Francisco Square Market, New 2400 Las Vegas Boulevard, South, be approved and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the licenses. Police report was favorable on the applicant.
