Las Vegas - September 8, 1939 Mr. John M. Bunker, Rox, Nevada. Dear Mr. Bunker: This will acknowledge receipt of your letter August 31st with regard to the new pipeline being installed by the Railroad Company west of town. This work is already underway and is expected to be completed in the next two or three weeks. This is a 16-inch iron main that will be used to replace the old redwood pipeline from a point near the old Tonopah highway to give the city a new inlet at Ogden Street and will be quite a considerable distance from the houses located in the vicinity of the Russell well at the west end of Clark Avenue. I am sorry the line is not running closer to Clark Avenue or we should be glad to serve you with a connection, although I assume you are now receiving water from another source. Very truly yours, WALTER R. BRACKEN, Vice-President and Agent.
