STREET PEDDLING R. E. Thornton Commissioner Bunker moved that Mr. R. E. Thornton he granted permission to peddle pencils on Fremont Street for sixty (60) days. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Sharp. There being no further business to come before this special meeting, Commissioner Bunker moved this meeting adjourn. CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING Date: September 29, 1954 TO: SHIRLEY BALLINGER, City Clerk Las Vegas, Nevada A special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada is hereby called to be held in the Council Chambers of the City Hall on the 29th day of September, 1954, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. to consider the following matters. 1. Public Hearing on the Use Permit granted Rancho Drive Realty for a shopping center on Block 3, El Centro Addition, Tract No. 2. 2. Opening of Bid No. 54.36- Electric Light Bulbs for City, and No. 54.37 - Concrete Slab. 3. Award of bid on Assessment District No. 100-25. 4. Service & Material Warrant No. 135 to 136 in the total amount of $7,922.47. 5. Proposed subdivision agreement regarding Las Vegas Square. 6. Zoning question, Myers Thornton area. 7. Proposed ordinance on specialty licenses under Plumbing Code. 8. Request for reduction of solicitors license for solicitation of American Peoples Encyclopedia. 9. Application of Myron Riskin for a second hand dealers license at 1211 South Main. 10. Cigarette license applications. 11. Proposed extras in conjunction with Traffic Signal contract. 12.
