. Construction by Lessor of certain improve- * ments at cost not to exceed $5500 upon Lot 90 at request of Lessor at any time during first six months of term of said lease, and leasing of said lot to Lessee for additional rental of $40 per month; Option to Lessee to purchase leased premises; be, and the same is hereby, ratified, approved and confirmed. On motion duly made and seconded, it was RESOLVED, that the action of Vice President Strong in executing agreement, Audit No. 10057, dated January 17, 1940, with State Relief Administration, granting license to use certain land of this company, located in U. P. Industrial Tract No. 3, lying between South Rowan Street and Bonnie Beach Street, County of Los Angeles, California, for the purpose of employing relief workers in the growing of vegetables thereon, for period of one year from and after January 17, 1940; subject to termination by Licensor on thirty days' written notice; be, and the same is hereby, ratified, approved and confirmed. On motion duly made and seconded, it was RESOLVED, that the action of Vice President Strong in executing letter-agreement, dated January 18, 1940, addressed to Crown Packing Company and Union Ice Company, Los Angeles, California, covering the conditions governing installation and removal of certain icing equipment by said Union Ice Company in the southerly 75 ft. of Vegetable Shed No. 3, Los Angeles, which space is under lease to said Crown Packing Company for whose use and benefit the said equipment is installed; be, and the same is hereby, ratified, approved and confirmed. -5-
