\ LAS WAS LAND AID WAT,XI? COMPANY, Los Angeles* June 26, 1919. Mias Nora Hickey, Care Mr, F» F. Clayton, Los Angeles. Dear Madam,- Referring to conversation some days ago, with respect to purchase of Lot 7, Block 5, belonging to the Las Vegas Land & Water Company at Las Vegas, I have .communicated with Mr, Bracken on this subject, and he informs me that he has made no offer of this lot for less than the figure authorized by the Ibcecuti ve Committee, which is $300.00, He does admit that Mr. Waite called upon him, stalng that he would be*'willing to offer 1250,00 for the lot. Mr. Bracken claims that, he informed \ , '? ... ' ?’ ' ^ ' Mr. Waite that any proposal for purchase at less than $300,00, the authorized figure, would have to be submitted to the Board. It is very possible that the Board of Directors would be willing he lower the authorized selling price of this lot to $250,00, but I doubt whether th^y would be willing to Consider a selling price of less than that figure. Do you care to offer $250.00 for the lot? If so, I will ask for authority to reduce the scheduled selling price to that figure. I have no authority, you understand, to offer the lot to anyone at less than #300.00 cash, and my prospoal. above i® simply to submit for approval youf bid of $250,00, if you care to make it. Yours very truly, am . ' • / 1 4 ~ {
