BID NO. 59.33 Commissioner Fountain moved that Bid No. 59.33, Traffic Paint, be awarded to the Traffic Paint only bidder, the Vegas Paint Company, 15 West Charleston, Las Vegas, in the total amount of $6,236.^0, for their alternate bid of Bauers Paint. Award Vegas Paint Company Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor C. D. Baker. BID NO. 59.38 Commissioner Sharp moved that Bid No. 59.33 for the furnishing of Fertilizer for Fertilizer the period July 1, 1959 to June 30, 1960, be awarded to the Desert Nursery, 411 West Charleston Boulevard, for their low bid in the amount of $11,361.75. Award Desert Nursery Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor C. D. Baker. BID NO. 59.42 Commissioner Fountain moved that Bid No. 59.42, 4-Door Sedan, be awarded to the 4-Door Sedan Gaudin Motor Company, 300 North 5th Street, for low bid in the amount of $2,568.00. Award Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Gaudin Motor Company Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor C. D. Baker. BID NO. 59.43 Commissioner Sharp moved that Bid No. 59.43, Dump Truck, be awarded to the Community Dump Truck Chevrolet Company, 1107 East Charleston, Las Vegas, for the low bid in the amount of $2,715.93. Award Community Chevrolet Co. Motion seconded by Commissioner Elwell and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor C. D. Baker. BID NO. 59.44 Commissioner Sharp moved that Bid No. 59.44, Suburban Carry-All, be awarded to the Suburban Carry-All Community Chevrolet Company, 1107 East Charleston, Las Vegas, for low bid in the total amount of $2,267.70. BID NO. 59.45 Commissioner Elwell moved that Bid No. 59.45, Street Lighting on Hinson Street, be Hinson Street Lighting awarded to the Acme Electric Company, 308 Wall Street, Las Vegas, for their low bid in the amount of $2,150.00. Award Acme Electric Company Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. BID NO. 59.46 Commissioner Fountain moved that the only bid received under Bid No. 59.46 for Air Air Compressor Compressor, from the Blystone Equipment Company of Nevada, 2840 Fremont, be rejected as being above the engineer's estimate. Rejected Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor C. D. Baker. BID NO. 59.47 The Commission considered the recommendation of the Public Works Department that Street Sweeper Bid No. 59.47 for Street Sweeper be awarded to the Clark County Wholesale Mercantile Company, 512 South Main Street, in the total amount of $8,711.00 for a Wayne Award Sweeper. Clark County Wholesale Director of Public Works Sauer explained that this bid is approximately $211.00 above the low bid submitted by the A-D Machinery Company, Inc. for a Mobile Sweeper; however, in view of the difficulties the Street Department had experienced with the operation and parts supply of the two Mobile Sweepers purchased in 1957, it was recommended that the low bid not be accepted. Commissioner Fountain moved that Bid No. 59.47 for Street Sweeper be awarded to the Clark County Wholesale Mercantile Company, 512 South Main Street, in the total amount of $8,711.00, for a Wayne Sweeper. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor C. D. Baker. BID NO. 59.48 Commissioner Sharp moved that Bid No. 59.48, Alternate #6, Tanker Truck Cab and Tanker Truck, Cab Chassis, 3000 gallon capacity, for the Fire Department, be awarded to the Clark and Chassis County Wholesale Mercantile Company, 512 South Main Street, in the amount of $9,281.28. Award Clark County Wholesale Motion seconded by Commissioner Elwell and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor C. D. Baker. BID NO. 59.49 Commissioner Elwell moved that Bid No. 59.49 for the installation of the Rehabilitation Rehabilitation Farm Farm Sewer Line be awarded to J. A. Tiberti Construction Company, 1818 Industrial Sewer Line Road, for their low bid in the amount of $2,881.55. Award Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: J. A.
