Los Angeles, California Dear Sir: Acknowledging receipt of your letter of May the 18th concerning above subject. I have had a personal interview with Mr. Elwell and later an Interview with J. M. Ullom, County Treasurer, It isagreeable to Mr, Elwell to have our Company pay the last half of his 1934 taxes and the same charged to his aocount. I do not believe it would be wise in any case to deviate from our rule of paying taxes such as outlined in your former communications and while there might be some who would rather pay it themselves and save the small amount of interest, we should make no exceptions.
