At this time the Board considered the application of Martin J. Cunningham for a Restaurant Beverage license at Cunningham's Chili Spot, 225 North 1st Street. Mr. Cunningham was advised that his Building was in violation of the Building Code and could not meet the requirements for a liquor license at this time. Commissioner Fountain moved that Martin J. Cunningham's application for a Restaurant Beverage liquor license at Cunningham's Chili Spot, 225 North 1st Street, be held in abeyance until his building is in compliance with the Building Code. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Sharp. Commissioner Whipple moved the application of Sid Martin for a tavern liquor license for the Golden Gate Club, 1 Fremont be held in abeyance. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Sharp. Commissioner Whipple moved the request of Morris Fox to add Jerrold Jory and delete Irving S. Quale from the pawnbroker's license of the Square Deal Loan at 118 North 1st Street be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Sharp. Commissioner Whipple moved the following resolution authorizing the publication of the Notice of Sale of $2,875,000 General Obligation Bonds, bids to be opened on November 16, 1955, be adopted: WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, has determined, and does hereby determine, that the issues of general obligation bonds of said city in the aggregate principal amount of $2,875,000.00 authorized at the general city election duly called and held on the 3rd day of May, 1955, should be offered at public sale. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, be, and she hereby is, authorized and instructed to have published a notice of sale of said issues of said bonds in the aggregate principal amount of $2,875,000.00 in the Las Vegas Review Journal, the official newspaper of the city, being of general circulation and published therein, once a week for four consecutive weeks by five insertions at weekly intervals, which notice of sale shall be in substantially the following form: (Form of Notice) NOTICE OF SALE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS $2,875,000.00 (4 issues) DATED DECEMBER 1, 1955 Sealed proposals will be received by the Board of City Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Las Vegas, in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Wednesday, the l6th day of November, 1955, up to and including the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M., Pacific Standard Time, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and considered by the Board of Commissioners, for the purchase of four bond issues, in the aggregate principal amount of $2,875,000.00, of said city's general obligation negotiable coupon bonds described as follows: (1) $2,000,000.00, City of Las Vegas, Nevada, General Obligation Sewer Bonds, Series December 1, 1955.
