August 30, 1954 Union Pacific Railroad Company 422 West Sixth Street Los Angeles 14, California «_£o0 ATTENTIO M R. ___ _ Attention Mr. Adamson Subject: Las Vegas Valley Water District Gentlemen: Transmitted herewith are the plans and specifications for the main supply line through the Union Pacific property. These and specifications include also the removal of certain existing water mains in accordance with the Agreement between the Railroad and the District. Due to the necessity of getting the work under contract as early as possible in order to permit the line to be placed in operation by next summer, there was insufficient time to coordinate all details with the facilities of the various interested parties before advertising for bids. Therefore, while the work is out for bids, we intend to review and coordinate certain details of the work which have not yet been approved by the various interested parties. Any modifications which may be necessary as a result of these further studies will be handled by change order, the amount of which is to be negotiated prior to award of contract. In the very near future we will have plans completed for the other smaller lines which are to be built on the Railroad property and also for the changes in the power lines. . 1 copy Spec.
