Dear Mr. Wehsi X hare your letter of May 16, 1951 suggesting program and responsibility for preparation of additional data to be used at the resumed hearing on June 5th at las Vegas, Nevada• Mr. Reinhardt and Ur. Bennett are out of the office but X an sure they would approve your suggested plan. X think that your suggested schedule is proper* X am sanding Ur. Johnson's copy of your letter to him with the request that ha have in my hands as asrly as possible in the week of Msy 21st the material which you have suggested he prepare. Ur. MoCafferty called me yesterday to advise that all of the material requested in Ur. Bennett's letter to Ur. Sutton of April 27, 1951 would be in our hands by the end of this week. I believe we will receive several copies of all the statements requested and X will send you a copy upon receipt so that we can request additional details if you think it necessary. I will let Mr. Bertolaooi know as soon as X have received the material from Ur. Sutton and from Ur. Johnson. X fekiiaip he should commence work on the estimates aa soon as possible thereafter. Ur. Bennett and I have a meeting with Ur. Cannon in las Vegas on May 24th. Hs has indicated that he may be able to stipulate to some of the faets which we are attempting to prove. After our conference with him, we may have a better understanding of the matters he will stress at the next hearing. X do not believe that prior to the hearing you need prepare any additional information with reference to the water conservation problem. If a serious question is ralssd at tha next hearing with respect to this matter which would justify us in preparing additional data to meet the City's contention, we could ask for
