With two crews using one truck each, we are only able to install an average of about 120 service connections per month. In view of the above I have already requisitioned one ad­ditional tapping machine and plan on employing two additional laborers, in addition to which I request authority to reclassify two of my present crew from laborer classification to water ser­vice repairman which will provide one repairman for each of the three tapping crews, which I will have if this request is ap­proved, and one repairman for general repair work. If you con­cur please arrange for Perm 2120 to cover. Also in connection with this I would like to request that you arrange ¥0 authority to purchase one (1) additional 3/4 ton Chevrolet pick-up truck, Z am advised by local Chevrolet dealer that a 3/4 ton pick-up truck will coat approximately $1865.00.
