Call to Order Senate President Wild called the thirty seventh meeting of the Consolidated Student Senate to order at 4:00 p.m. II. Roll Call MEMBERS PRESENT Charles Bloom - excused absent Ginger Clayton - excused absent Robin Hunt Mary Beth Nitzschke - unexcused absent Terri Tollefson - excused absent Robert Barnum Steve Bowie Dave Levins Cathy Clay Phil Horn - excused absent Pam Jacka Paul Berger Nancy Felsing As a result of a lack of quorum Jef Wild moved the meeting directly into IV. Executive Board Announcements IV. Executive Board Announcements Rick Oshinski informed the Senate that President Goodall is forming a Legislature Relations Committee which will be responsible for determining the top priorities for UNLV. President Oshinski read a letter from Les Raschkoregarding the Rebel Mascot. President Oshinski announced that ASUN will be sending CSUN a copy of the Interpretation of the Regents action on Consolidated Restruc-ture of fees. Oshinski also announced that CSUN, MSU, and the Graduate Association will be holding a campus wide picnic. 4505 Maryland Parkway Las Vegas, Nevada 89154 Telephone (702) 739-3477 MINUTES Senate Meeting #37 Session #12 4:00 p.m. August 10, 1982 MSU 2 01 Finally he informed the Senate that Karen Cohen has resigned from her position as Press Secretary, and the Executive Board is now accepting applications. CONSOLIDATED STUDENTS UNIVERSITY OF NEVADA, LAS VEGAS Senate Meeting #37 Minutes Page 2 Jef Wild announced that Pam Levins informed him of Jack Howard's response regarding Mike Waller. Most importantly Mike Waller's attorney denied any formal affiliation with Waller. Also Waller is not authorized to use his name in any proceedings. Jef Wild also announced in reference to the Judicial Council minutes that all students are members of CSUN. There will be a Publications Board meeting Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. The next Appropriations Board meeting will be September 7. IX. Open Discussion Discussion took place concerning absences. Steve Bowie informed the Senate that Mike Waller was presently at work, but will be at the meeting at about 4:15 to 4:20. Cathy announced that there will be a Senate Party at 8:00 p.m. on August 17. X.
