Bennett Las Vegas - July 15* 1953 w 23-1-127 I am submitting herewith Form 30 estimate and letter of submission to Mr, Stoddard covering construction of 8** pipe line in Charleston HLvd. replacing portion of existing 8* line in area vacated by the City of Las Vegas, It will be necessary for Mr, Adamson to prepare Work Order prints of his Drawing A-1101 dated June 30, 1953* I would appreciate it if you would expedite approval of this Work Order as 1 am being called every few days by the City of Las Vegas requesting advice as to when this work will be done. This morning I also received a call from Mr. Mahlon Brown, Nevada State Senator and Attorney for a client who desires to construct a building over the location now occupied by existing 8" water line and he requested that I notify the City that it would be sable to issue building permit at location now occupied by this water line, I advised Mr. Brown that I had not secured authority from our executives to proceed with any portion of the work covered by this project and that I could not agree to the construction of any buildings over the 88 pipe line until the new line had been constructed and the existing line abandoned and that I v&s not presently in a position to notify the City that it would be permissable to issue building permits in this area.
