I agree.I, as General Chairman, will introduce the guests. I talked to Matt Welsh this morning. He is taking immediate steps to invite the Governor of Illinois, and, since the bridge is named by the two states, he and the Governor of Illinois will make the citation. I have prepared this citation. Bob Schultheis will send it off for printing Monday. It will have to be forwarded to Matt Welsh to be signed and to have the Seal of Indiana placed upon it. He will then forward it to Governor Kerner to be signed and sealed by the State of Illinois. I hope we can make it in time. Until we are sure that the Army Band will be on hand, I have designated the Lincoln High School band for the program at the bridge. The actual printing of the program at the bridge can await my return. I have arranged with Dale Wilkes to have the paper on hand. THE RECEPTION-- Curt Kimmell has asked John Welsh, Jim Funk, and Gib Shake to help him with the reception. He will add others to the committee this week and he has the arrangements for the reception fairly well in order. THE RED SKELTON SHOW The Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jerry Walkins, President) has agreed to handle the problem of tickets, prepare the stage and the house and handle all details in regard to the Red Skelton Show to be here at 7:00 p.m. in the Adams Coliseum. As this memorandum is being dictated, I have not been able to reach the members of the JayCees to get a committee, but I will try to do so before I leave and instruct the committee to remain in close contact with you. e-fc
