M£W £2•6 j1® 954, Las Vegas, Nevada May 25, 1954 Mr* J. E« Rosborough 1105 South Third Street Alhambra, California Bear Steve: I am writing in regard to Leave of Absence dated October 6, 1953? which authorized me to be employed by the Water Company at Las Vegas, Nevada, during the period November 15» 1953 to November 15, 1954* Xn this respect, and in view of the contemplated sale of the Water Company to the Las Vegas Valley Water District, I would appreciate your opinion as to whether ray Leave of Absence will terminate on the sale date or whether it will run through the period Indicated thereon. Also in connection with the above matter, it Is my impression that the Water District, a community organization, desires me to continue my service as Assistant to General Manager since they do not have available, at present, a qualified person to fill my position. Xn view of the present number of Railroad Company employees laid off andthe*feet that upon my return to service X would be displacing another, 11 is my thought that additional Leave of Absence be granted me under the same conditions as contained in my present one. Xour opinion and any consideration shown in this matter will be appreciated. lours very truly, Monte S. Davis 2316 Santa Rita Drive Las Vegas, Nevada b cc : Mr. E. E. B e n n e tt, Los Angeles
