MEMBERSHIP CO-CHAIRS ’ INITIAL MEETING.
The 3 co-chairs of the TTO 2003 Membership Committee met on Monday, the 13th of January. (Maxine Randolph, Sandy Elaine Stafford, and Wilhelmina Lee were all present.) They exchanged complete contact information, including cell phone numbers.
The question of whether there should be a line or not this year, and the importance of retention, were two of the highlights of their mini- brainstorming session. Some of the other questions they felt should be clarified were the following:
1.
Why don’t we have work phone numbers and cell numbers on our contact sheets?? Especially Soror Billie’s?
2.
How does a new soror obtain access to the AKA Internet Page?
3.
Why doesn 7 the AKA Family Page have an updated list of both Golden and Silver Sorors?
4.
Who is responsible for the Christmas Party?
5.
Does the Retreat have to be in the summer?
6.
Do we have a time limit for our meetings at Holy Trinity Church? Is there any time for more sisterly relations?
We are investigating having a meeting of the whole committee before our February meeting. We will e-mail & phone everyone that information when it becomes available.

Suggest to Chapter we not have the Summer Cooler in that Leadership Conference will be held in Las Vegas, on July 9-13, 2003
Schedule Retreat for August, 2003.
Meetings are scheduled for the Monday, before Sorority meeting. At 6:00 p.m., place will be announced before each meeting.

Sorors sponsoring candidates must plan to attend MIP the entire weekend. LEGACY CANDIDATE SPONSOR, must have been ACTIVE for at least two (2) years immediately preceding the recommendation application. MIP WEEKEND- Approval of Candidates received from Regional Director.
Must remove 36STW for Regional Conf. Assessment, from budget, less due from each candidate.
Candidates are aware of deadline for fees to be paid. Six have notified me they will meet the deadline of August 6, 2003. Candidate Sandra Harris will get back to me on August 5, 2003, to let me know if she can meet this financial obligation.
Menu for weekend discussed, will finalize later Committee Assignments were reviewed.

Soror Kenyatta reported SORORS are not really responding, hopeful they will make a financial commitment at Retreat on Sat. 8/16/03.
RETREAT- Working copy of agenda for Retreat on 8/16/03 was presented. After some discussion, a tentative Agenda was completed. It will be finalized after contact has been made with some Sorors asking for their participation. Theme for Retreat; Capturing the Spirit of AKA.
The next Membership Committee Meeting will be on September 8, 2003, at the West Las Vegas Library.
