    3 Mr. Leo McNamee requested the application of Fong's Garden he continued. No. action taken on this request. GAMING LICENSE Mr. Kennedy advised the Commission the Police investigation of Joseph Bartel for Addn. Partner 50% interest in the Slot Machine Operators license of the Automatic Amusement Machines of Las Vegas, was favorable. Commissioner Sharp moved the application of Joseph Bartel for 50% interest in the license of the Automatic Amusement Machines of Las Vegas be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. CUNNINGHAM DRIVE The City Manager presented a contract with Mr. Ira Lawson for a deed covering a Right-of-Way parcel 15 feet by 75 feet to complete the right-of-way requirements on Cunningham Drive adjacent to Monroe Avenue. Mr. Kennedy stated that Mr. Lawson would give this deed in consideration of $100.00. Commissioner Fountain moved this contract be approved, and the Mayor and Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. EFFLUENT DITCH Mr. Kennedy presented a contract with Masako Miura for a portion of the NE¼ of the SE¼ of Section 15, T21S, R62E for construction of the effluent ditch below the new Sewage Disposal Plant. The City Manager stated that Mrs. Miura requests payment of $250.00 for a total of 1.31 acres. Mr. Kennedy advised the Board that there was right-of-way to be acquired between the present property held by the City for the effluent ditch and the property owned by Mrs. Miura and therefore, requested that the contract be approved subject to clearance of the right-of-way between Mrs. Miura's property and the property acquired for the effluent ditch purposes. Commissioner Sharp moved the contract with Mrs. Miura be approved subject to check add clearance of the right-of-way between Mrs. Miura's property and property presently owned by the City for effluent ditch purposes and that at such time as the intervening right-of-way is cleared the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign the contract. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT Works Engineer Uehling presented the plans and specifications for the Sewer installation of sewer in Block 6 of Boulder Dam Homesite #4, add stated that the total Block 6, Boulder Dam cost would run approximately $1600.00 or $205.00 per 50 foot lot. Homesite #4 Commissioner Fountain moved the City Attorney be instructed to prepare the ordinance in order to proceed with this improvement district. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. CIGARETTE LICENSES Commissioner Fountain moved the following applications for license for the retail sale of cigarettes and tobacco products be approved and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the licenses: BIRD CAGE 1st & Fremont Sutton Vending CHEVRON STATION 844 Tonopah Road Sutton Vending COREY'S FINE FOODS 4th & Fremont Sutton Vending HANK'S PLAZA 222 North 1st Sutton Vending RANCH INN MOTEL 712 North 5th Sutton Vending SUNLAND MOTORS 2030 E. Charleston Sutton Vending WESTERN AUTO 2003 E. Charleston Sutton Vending WESTERN PETROLEUM 1034 South A Sutton Vending NEVADA LAUNDRY 1530 South A Douglas Rather. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. CHARITABLE SOLICITATION Commissioner Sharp moved the following applications for Charitable Solicitation PERMITS Permits, as recommended by the Solicitations Review Board, be approved and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the permits: JEWISH WAR VETERANS LADIES AUXILIARY BONANZA PTA Y.M.C.A. SENIOR SCOUT TROOP #47 JOB'S DAUGHTERS BREAKFASTER LIONS CLUB Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. ANIMAL SHELTER The City Manager advised the Commission that all claims against the Clark County CLAIMS Humane Society on the Animal Shelter are being paid in the Service and Material.
