Campbell, President Las Vegas Valley Water District 135 South fourth Street Las Vegas, Hevada Dear Mr. Campbell: I have been advised that the transfer of the Las Vegas water system to the District was completed today and that the Preliminary Purchase Price of $2,299,029.64 has been paid. I appreciate your cooperation in completing the transfer at this time. As 1 have heretofore told you, we are willing to have Mr. Maag remain at Las Vegas temporarily at the expense of the District for the purpose of assisting Mr. Senshaw in becoming familiar with the property. Mr, Maag's salary is $575 a month, and his expenses for the last year have averaged $435 a month. So that there may be a definite understanding with respect to Mr. Maag’s services, I should like to have you confirm the following agreement: That Mr. Maag will remain on the payroll of the Las Vegas Land and Water Company and will not become an employee of the District, He will remain at Las Vegas for such temporary period as the District wishes for the purpose of assisting Mr, Renshaw in becoming familiar with the operations of the water production and distribution system, but neither he nor the Las Vegas Land and Water Company shall have any responsibility with respect to the management of the water system. Upon receipt of bill therefor the District will reimburse the Las Vegas Land and Water Company for Mr. Haag's salary of $575 Per month and for his actual expenses, not to exceed $450 per month, during such period of time as he may remain at Las Vegas at the request of the District for the purposes above-mentioned.
