Franklin Jr., reported that the water hoard would be given sufficient funds to complete the job “ but it might be under the $25,000 req u ited . ” A commttee from within the water board m et with representatives of the Colorado river commission this week discussing a contract which would assure the district 8,000,000 gallons of water per day for use in the pipeline, and the committee, consisting of William Coul-thard, E. O. Underhill and John Bunch, r e p o r t e d satisfactory progress. The entire board, on Friday, met with representatives of the Blair-Rollins and Coe f i r m ,. of Minneapolis, which sent the men from the branch office in San Francisco, and the water board members said glowing approval of the project was given by the bond underwriting company people. Harry E. Miller, chairman of the water board, said the bond underwriting firm representa- ~ tives, like others who had preceded them, gave optimistic reports on the probability of a sale of the bonds, and declared that the program was highly sound. It was reported today by Miller that an election of directors pf the water district would be held on April 4 to replace Thomas E. Campbell, Miller, Coul-thard and Underhill, whose terms expire this year. Registration for the election will open on February 16 at the county Clerk’s office. ----------- o------ ------
