Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.Theta Theta Omega ChapterThanksgiving Day Committee ReportSaturday October 6,2001The Thanksgiving Day committee met on Wednesday September 26,2001 at K.O. Knudson Middle School.We discussed the menu, decorations, and delivery of the baskets.
We plan to include: Turkey, Macaroni and Cheese, Green Beans, Stuffing,^Cranberry Sauce, Cake Mix with Frosting in each basket.
Our goal is to provide baskets for 20-25 families.
We still need sorors to submit the names of needy families.
The next committee meeting will be on Friday November 16,2001 at 6:00 p.m. at the home of Soror Amanda McWilliams to put together the baskets and receive the assignments for deliveries. The baskets will be delivered on Saturday November 17,2001.
Any Soror interested in helping with the baskets is asked to contact Soror Amanda or Soror Sami.
Sorors, if you haven’t.had an opportunity to remit your $10 donation toward the baskets, please do so today to Soror Ouida Brown. For those who have already submitted your payments, thank you for your generosity.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Theta Theta Omega Chapter Thanksgiving Day Committee Report December 1, 2001
The Thanksgiving Day Committee met at the home of Soror Amanda McWilliams on Friday November 16, 2001 to prepare Thanksgiving baskets for needy families. Each basket contained Turkey, Cranberry Sauce, Dressing, Green Beans, Macaroni and Cheese, Rolls and Cake Mix with Frosting.
A total of ' was spent for the food and decorations for the Thanksgiving baskets. This year in lieu of preparing boxes we placed all of the food in pink and green gift bags.
Thanks to all Sorors for your financial support with this endeavor.
I would like to extend a very special thanks to Sorors: Ethel Archibald, Sami Randolph, Domini Calloway and Josie Gaines for there assistance with the preparation and delivery of baskets. Thank you Soror Billie and Honey-Do Lee Rayford for allowing us to store Thanksgiving turkeys in their freezer.
