Berwick Law Department Union Pacific Railroad Company 422 West Sixth Street Los Angeles, California (14) Dear Mr. Renwick: We wish to acknowledge the receipt of Mr. E. E. Bennett’s letter of July 6 containing the information requested by Mr. Kleinsorge of this office concerning the Las Vegas Land and Water Company case, 10:PLK (W-27S-8) 4579. We regret to inform you that the information reveals a condition that Mr. Kleinsorge did not realize existed, i. e. that very substantial increases have been given to the clerk-stenographer classification since January 1, 1941, and that the present rate appears to be relatively high for this type of work. As a result the case cannot be solved on a maladjustment basis, and more work will have to be done to reach a decision. We assure you that the case is being processed and that a decision will be reached as soon as possible. Very truly yours, TENTH REGIONAL WAR LABOR BOARD By <4^ ** ^ ^*~? v Lloyd H.
