MAY 201946 I Mrs. Rettie Carrigan, 20, 408 'Bonanza road,, was killed in- ] stantly, and her husband, Barney j A. Carrigan, 25, critically injured \ Sunday afternoon when the motorcycle they were- riding Went out of control and struck an au- [tomobile as they cleaned the un- j derpass oh Bonanza road head- 1 ing toward Main street. Several witnesses to the mo- j torcycle accident said that Emery Williams, 33414 North Sixth ! street, was driving an automobile which made, a left turn'on to Bonanza road froro£ Main I street, and that shortly after he made the' turn the :.’motorcyclc driven by Carrigan crashed into his automobile. Officers investigating said that Williams had stopped his auto- I mobile when he saw the motor- 1 cycle go out of control after it cleared the underpass, and that the vehicle skidded 70 feet be- fofe striking the automobile. Mrs. Carrigan died instantly, the coroner's report states, and her husband is suffering from a basal skull fracture, according to his attending physician. His condition was reported improved today and he was given a 50-50 chance of surviving. Carrigan I was recently discharged from the jarmy. - -
