I agree.Inter - Department Correspondence To: From: Subject: MR. DANNER Date--WILL AL FREEMAN SPORTSMEN'S WORLD AWARDS The attached presentation from the City of Hope Sports- men's Club seems very weak to me as far as a special program for the Sands that could cost upward of $35,000. I'm attaching also, a copy of my letter of August 13, 1971, in which I reviewed the City of Hope Sportsmen's Awards project. Promotion-wise, I don't believe in the project unless we have national television, which the City of Hope cannot guarantee at this time. Last year, they waited until the last minute before we madeour commitment to inform us they could not give us national television. Casino-wise, I recommend Harry Goodheart check this out to see if it is worth anything. SUMMARY: I recommend we pass on this project unless you or Harry see some special kind of merit. V-U HTC - 39A
