SHOWCHANGE 9/1/80 with Shirley MacLaine produced by David Hamilton producer director Scott Devitte ?╟úJubilee" M.G.M. Hotel Las Vegas, Nev. 3056 Ocotillo Court ?╟≤ Las Vegas, Nevada 89121 ?╟≤ (702) 457-5408 SHOWCHANGE SHOWCHANGE is a ninety minute documentary style special, produced for cable television release. Filmed entirely on location in and around the Las Vegas M.G.M. Hotel, SHOWCHANGE follows from the closing night performance of "Halleluiah Hollywood", through the creation and construction leading to the opening of "Jubilee". Hosted by a celebrity of stage and screen, we explore the talents of the artists, performers, creators and crafts- men, being brought together to create one of the greatest stage spectaculars of all time. Covering a period of several months, our camera shows the events and experiences leading to opening night, when a bare stage transforms to a dazzling extravaganza, when a SHOWCHANGE occurs. 3056 Ocotlllo Court ?╟≤ Las Vegas, Nevada 89121 *(702)457-5408 Las Vegas has long been known as the entertainment capital of the world, and one of the most lavish and successful pro- duction shows to appear there has-been "Hallelujah Hollywood". This Donn Arden creation is a celebration of the glory days of the M.G.M. film musicals. After appearing before millions, the award winning show will close, making way for a new edition, "Jubilee". This period of change, involving a massive amount of manpower and material in a race with time, is the subject of our film, SHOWCHANGE. SHOWCHANGE follows not only the obvious changes, such as sets and music, but looks deeply into the lives and talents of those in front, as well as behind the stage curtain. The film interweaves two ideas, the life of the show and life of the person working within it. With host Shirley MacLaine, actress, singer and dancer, we seek out and define moments of change. From the construction and technology involved in building the enormous stage sets, to the conditioning and training required to be a performer, we are hunting for the elements that animate themselves into a show. The following is a tenative list of characters. contd. 3056 Ocotlllo Court * Las Vegas, Nevada 89121 ?╟≤ (702) 457-5408 Donn Arden, producer director, of "Jubilee".
