You and each of you will please take notice that pursuant to a call this day issued by Mayor Baker, a Special Meeting of the Board of Commiss­ioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, will be held in the Council Chambers at the City Hall, 5th and Stewart, on the 26th day of September, 1951, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. to consider the following matters: 1. Westside Improvements s/ Shirley Ballinger_______ SHIRLEY BALLINGER, City Clerk ACCEPTANCE OF NOTICE We, the undersigned Mayor, Commissioners, City Manager and City Attorney of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, do hereby admit due service of the foregoing Notice of Special Meeting: s/ C. CANNON, City Attorney s/ William Peccole____________ _________________________________ WILLIAM PECCOLE, Commissioner A special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas held this 26th day of September, 1951 was called to order at the hour of 7:45 P.M. by His Honor Mayor C. D. Baker with the following members present: Mayor C. D. Baker Commissioner Wendell Bunker Commissioner Rex A. Jarrett Commissioner William Peccole Commissioner Reed Whipple City Attorney Howard W. Cannon City Manager C. W. Shelley City Clerk Shirley Ballinger WESTSIDE IMPROVEMENTS Commissioner Bunker moved a special improvement district be created on the Westside for the installation of sidewalks, curbs and gutters and that the Engineering Department commence the necessary study and survey so that the consents can be obtained to raise the assessed valuation to the right amount. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; nays, none. GAMING APPLICATIONS At this time the following applications for renewal of gaming licenses Renewals for the fourth quarter of 1951 were presented to .the Board for their consideration: AERO GAS STATION O.
