AKATEEN REPORT
The AKATEENS held an Informational Tea on February 17, 1996, at the home of Soror Hall. Several members of the AKATEEN Committee were present: Jackie Brown, Rhoda Anderson, Belisa Brownlee, Lisa McNeil, & Jacqueline Hall. Denise Williams, Basileus of Kappa Xi was also present.
There were nine young ladies that expressed interest in becoming AKATEENS. They were presented with a brief program and refreshments followed. Each young lady filled out a profile sheet and they were given the new AKATEEN Brochure. The brochure was designed by a Soror, Kim Scott. (See Attached)
A AKATEEN meeting was held at the West Las Vegas Library on February 24, 1996. We had four additional new members at this meeting.
The next social event will be on March 8, 1996. A slumber party will be held at the home of Soror Hall. The young ladies will go skating on March 8th and then spend the night and have practice on March 9th. The next AKATEEN workshop is scheduled for March 23, 1996, at the West Las Vegas Library. Soror Kechia Thomas-English will present the workshop.

AKATan ST REPORT
The AKATEENS participated in the Martin Luther King Jr. Parade.
Thirteen of the fifteen members were present. They did not place
in the trophy running, but there are a great number of ladies
that now want to become AKATEENS.
The AKATEENS will be in attendance at the Annual Founder’s Day
luncheon. We have five graduate sorors who have paid to sponsor
an AKATEEN. They send there Thanks. We would like to have a=t least 4rgR additional AKATEENS sponsored to the Luncheon. The
cost of their ticket is only $16.25.
The AKATEENS will be holding an Informational Tea on February 17,
1996, at the Home of Soror Hall, 6364 Horizon Ridge Court. This
tea will begin at 2:00pm and end at 3:30pm. Any interested young
lady and their parent can attend the Tea. I would like to
request $75.00 to pay for this event. The menu includes finger
foods, punch, and cake.
The first AKATEEN workshop will be on February 24, 1996, at the
West Las Vegas Library beginning at 10:00am. The AKATEENS will
also have their first community service project on this day by
helping the West Las Vegas Library staff with their LIBRARY DAY.
