I agree.Mr. Strong #8 May 27, 1945 have in stock sufficient 8-inch oast iron which I recommend that we use for this purpose. At some time in the flrthhe it may be necessary to replace the present 6-inch line on Carson Street with one of lo-inoh diameter and in that event the 8-inch extension which we now propose to install can remain in place without further disturbing this principal traffic artery. I attach hereto an estimate of cost and a tracing showing the location referred to. If you conour, will you kindly handle for necessary authority. I assume we will have to make application to the War Production Board for authority to use the pipe, but X feel that we can secure this in view of the fact that it is required to furnish adequate service to Mayfair Tract 3, a Defense housing project.
