It Mew Years Eve Dance - After reviewing report the committee is looking into

report as of 3/1/97) was
Suggestions'. Madi Gras, Winter Ball
Soror Patti is looking into Madi Gras and Soror Sandra is looking into the Winter Ball as replacements for the New Years Eve dance.

Shopping Spree - The committee decide to propose a shopping spree to the garment
district in Los Angeles.
Action: We will advertise in the community to attract as many individuals as possible.

3)
Black family reunion - picnic / BBQ
BBBM Ta Wild a familv style bar-b-que open to the community in a local park
Jnd^ale booth space to local^vendors. This event would show e&e local talent in various different areas of the arts.
Action: Soror Denise is looking into this event.
41 Rights of Passage - This event would be similar ^debutante ball but the emphasis would be on the passage from young ladies to professional young women.
Suggestions: Several suggestions but nothing formal.
Action:
The committee will sit down and work on a formal plan of action.

Cost of event - Publicity 5215.00, D.J. & Sound 5150.00, Security 5250.00 =5 615.00 The only money required up front wflTbe 5100.00 for flyers. The rest of The expenses will be split in a half (with the exception of flyers) and the expenses will be taken of the top and the rest of the money split between the club and the sorority.

Mardi Gras - The committees currently working on the preparations for Mardi Gras. y^HH
Old School Party - The committee discussed hosting an old school party. Z2<
Suggestions - The monies raised can be set aside for seed money for the Ways & Means committee.
Action - Lisa R., Denise W. and Jacki Brown met with the owner of the Bomb Night club (Darrell Sherrod) and set up a plan of action for the party.
Motion:
I move that we sponsor an old school party with the Bomb night club on and allot 5615.00 for expenses.

Upcomming Events:
1 j Shopping Spree - The shopping spree has been canceled due to lack of ticket sales.
2) Mardi Gras - The committee is currently working on a Mardi Gras dance that is
scheduled for Feb..
3) Old School Party - The committee is also working on a party to be held before the end of the year: This party would be a basic party with a D. J., and a low ticket price. The party is geared towards individual who like music between the years of 1975 to the early 1990's. The committee is researching a location and all cost involved.
Upcoming Meeting:
The committee will meet and have general meeting on Nov. T7,1997 at Soror Denise Williams house (4801 Spencer #49) call for directions.
