Beginning at the Southerly point of curve of the East line of Lot 13, Block 4, Amended Mayfair Tract #2, as shown by map thereof in Book 2 of Plats, Page 47, in the Office of the County Recorder, Clark County, Nevada; thence South 0°26'00" West along the Southerly prolongation of the East line of said Lot 13, a distance of 55.00 feet to a point 50 feet North of the centerline of East Charleston Boulevard, measured at right angles thereto, said centerline being further described as that shown in Drawing No. 008.7-73, dated and filed January 24, 195S in the Engineering Department and Office of the City Clerk, City of Las Vegas, Nevada; thence North 89°33'*37½" West parallel with and 50 feet North, measured at right angles to said centerline, a distance of 651.08 feet to a point, said point being further described as South 89°33'37½" East a distance of 25 feet from the centerline of 16th Street, as shown on the aforementioned subdivision; thence North 0°26'00" East parallel with and 25 feet East, measured at right angles to the centerline of 16th Street a distance of 47.75 feet to a point; thence along a curve to the right tangent to the last described course having a radius of 375 feet subtending a central angle of 1°09'14" an arc length 7.55 feet to the point of tangency of the two curves, as shown on the West line of Lot 24, said Block 4; thence along a curve to the left tangent to a course whose bearing is South 1°35'14" West, having a radius of 15 feet subtending a central angle of 91°08'51½" an_arc length of 23.86 feet to a point on the South line of Lot 24; thence South 89°33'37½" East along the South line of Lot 24 and its Easterly prolongation, a distance of 621.01 feet to a point on the South line of Lot 13, said Block 4; thence along a curve to the left having a radius of 15 feet subtending a central angle 90°00'22½" an arc length of 23.56 feet to the point of beginning, containing .6 acres, more or less. be and the same is hereby vacated. DATED: February 19, 1958. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and Mayor Baker voting aye; noes, none. SHOW CAUSE HEARING Commissioner Whipple moved that action on the order for Robert Van Santen to appear Robert Van Santen and show cause why the tavern liquor license at 109 Fremont Street should not be continued revoked be continued until March 5, 1958. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT An ordinance entitled: AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE DECLARING THE DETERMINATION OF THE NO. 200-20 BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA TO MAKE CERTAIN PUBLIC Boulder Dam Homesites IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS BY INSTALLING A SANITARY SEWER ALONG A #4 - Sewer CERTAIN ALLEY THEREIN; TO CREATE SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 200-20 FOR THE PURPOSE OF MAKING SAID IMPROVEMENTS, AND TO DEFRAY THE ENTIRE COSTS AND EXPENSES THEREOF BY SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS MADE ACCORDING TO THE FRONTAGE, FIXING A TIME IN WHICH PROTESTS AGAINST THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE CREATION OF SUCH DISTRICT MAY BE HEARD AND CONSIDERED BY SAID BOARD, DIRECTING NOTICE THEREOF TO BE GIVEN AND PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO, was read to the Board. Commissioner Bunker moved the above entitled Emergency Ordinance No. 759 be adopted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT Commissioner Whipple moved the following resolution authorizing the City Clerk to NO. 200-20 give notice of a public hearing to be held March 19, 1958 on the creation of Improvement Assessment District No. 200-20 be adopted: Notice of Hearing RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, have taken steps to create certain public improvements all as provided in Ordinance No. 759, passed, adopted and approved this 19th day of February, 1958; and WHEREAS, said Ordinance No. 759 discloses the intention and determination of said Board of Commissioners to create said district and construct said improvements by special assessment made according to frontage; and WHEREAS, said Ordinance No. 759 provides a time certain for hearing protests against said proposed improvements and directing that notice thereof be given, such time of the protest hearing being 7:30 P.M. on the 19th day of March, 1958. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas at a regular meeting hereof held on the 19th day of February, 1958, that the City Clerk and the Clerk of the Board of Commissioners be and she is hereby directed to publish notice of said hearing once a week for two successive weeks in the Las Vegas Review Journal, a daily newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners be and she is hereby directed to post notice of said hearing in at least three public places near the site of the proposed work; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners be and she hereby is directed to mail a copy of said notice, postage prepaid, as first class mail, at least fifteen days prior to such hearing, to the last known address of each last known owner of land within the district whose property will be assessed for the cost of the improvements, such addresses end owners being those appearing on the local property assessment rolls for general (ad valorem) taxes of the County of Clark, wherein said property is located; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said notice shall be in substantially the form attached to this resolution and made a part hereof.
