Ret' Additions and Betterments to the Las Vegas Land and Water Company SyBtem Los Angeles - November 16, 1953 80-11 Mr* C. M. Cory - Las Vegast As a matter of information in the event the subject should be discussed with you, I attach hereto copy of letter from the Las Vegas Valley Water District to Mr. Reinhardt, dated November 7th, on the above subject, and copy of Mr. Reinhardt’s reply, dated November 13th. Frankly, I do not think this exchange of correspondence will result in any change in the District* s insistence that we secure three bids on these contracts. X have talked both to Mr. Hamilton and Mr. Montgomery and intimated that I thought they were quite technical in suggesting this three bid proposition, as I could not differentiate in the situation before the bonds were voted and after the bonds were voted since the Water Company is still operated by us and not by the District. However, Mr. Reinhardt felt we should go on record expressing our views, and for that reason I suggested the letter of November 13th. m i > i E. E. Bennett
