Ninety-nine times out of a hundred in the various Cities and Towns and Water Companies, with whom we do "business, the purchases are made only "by the City or Company and not "by individual consumers, sometimes, however, Waterworks and Plumbers’ Supply Houses, who purchase meters from us, sell to various individuals, which, of course, is somewhat beyond our control. Hardly ever does an individual consumer purchase a meter to put on a Water Company's system. This invariably is done by the Company, itself. The Water Companies in this State do not as a rule allow their individual consumers to purchase meters. The Company furnishing the water also furnishes rhe meter. If a mistake or error has been made in your case, in this matter, we shall be glad to hear from you in the enclosed stamped envelope, and also shall be glad to know the purchaser’s name so we can trace the matter through our books if possible.
