Doolie: Referring to your letter of August 25, file D-386-4 relative to water produced at Las Vegas, Nevada and sold to Las Vegas Land and Water Company. Division Engineer Mr. J, P. Mack conferred with Mr. Walter Bracken at Las Vegas, Nevada on September 12 regard­ing this matter and as result of this conference recommend that we eliminate from the statements furnished you the amount of water going to the ranch as being chargeable against the Onion Pacific Railroad Company, fhis will change the per­centage of the water chargeable to the Onion Pacific Railroad Company and the LVL&W Co. accordingly. For example, in the year 1941, by eliminating amount of water diverted to the ranch totaling 5,380.063 will make the total consumed 1,742,127,93V, and this will make the Onion Pacific*s portion during this year 14.8# and LVL&W Co. 85.2#. In the year 1939 we indicated 674,180,052 gal­lons diverted to the ranch and using this figure your state­ment reflects Onion Pacific*s portion as 48.33# and LVL&W Co. 51.6?#. By eliminating the quantity reported going to the ranch, the changed percentage would be 13.6# and @1.4# respectively. It is my opinion that the water diverted to the ranch sho aid not be considered in arriving at charges to Las Vegas Land and Water Company. The same applies for the years 1937 and 1938. G. 0.
