L A S V E G A S , N E V A D A Jan. 1952 APPRAISAL OF REAL ESTATE OF THE LAND AND WATER COMPANY. With the new year, there was a change in the Presidency of the Board of Realtors of Las Vegas. Mr. James Young became President. LAS VEGAS BOARD OF REALTORS. After a couple of contacts, he informed me that Alex Boyle would be his choice of Chairman of a Committee, and the members of the Committee would be chosen by Mr. Boyle- That action would get going soon. Jan. 15th Called Mr. YoiLihg and asked if action had been taken by Mr. Boyle. None. Jan. 21st The Las Vegas Board of Realtors met- Tom Campbell was there. The agreement to act without .a fee seemed hard medicine to them. It was suggested that a nominal fee of $100 be charged so that no precedent would be set for the future as to work being done gratis. After some discussion, in which Tom Campbell took part, it was thought that a fee of $ 50 per person on the committee would not be out of line, making $150 total charge rather than the established fee of which maybe even $1400 would not have been enough. Jan. 22, 1952 Mr. Boyle called on me, secured copies of the Directive, mentioned the fee of $150. Also said that he might want to appoint Tom Campbell on the Committee. I said "OHm you shouldn't do that”- since Tom C. was an interested party. HFC
