Jewish Life Starting in 1937 Louis, Lucille Mack Nate & Jenny Mack, Harry Mack Their first place of worship was the "Eagles hall" which was located on the second floor of the building that is now the Golden Nugget. They had Friday night services there as well as High Holidays. The Mack brothers were among the founders of the Las Vegas Jewish Community Center which was completed in 1946. They were also board members and active in "B'nai B'rith". Jenny and Lucille were members of the "sisterhood." In 1949, I (Michael) began taking Hebrew lessons from Rabbi David Cohen. I was bar mitzva'd on June 6, 1950/ Best Friends of my family were: Gordons Goots Levys Bricks Coblentz Saigers Waldmans Goldrings Katz Stearns Mendelsohns Grossmans Shulmans Shways Messings Greenspuns (and lots of others)
