CSUNRS 230.00 is hereby created and is to read as follows: The Organizations Board Director may create the position of Organizations Board Secretary. The Organizations Board Secretary shall perform the following duties: a) To perform all duties prescribed by the Director. b) In the absence of the Director, perform all duties prescribed by the Assistant Director. Section 2. CSUNRS 230.02 is hereby created and is to read as follows: The Organizations Board Director shall have the power to appoint and dismiss the Organizations Board Secretary. Section 3. VP ACKERMAN REPORTED TO THE FACULTY SENATE ON TUESDAY THAT THE DINING COMMONS IS GOING TO BE BUILT NEXT TO THE HEALTH CENTER; TRAFFIC WILL BECOME CONGESTED. THERE IS A PROPOSAL TO HAVE THE 'PROFESSOR PUBLISHING' DONE HERE ON CAMPUS IN-STEAD OF AT KINKOS WITH THE PACKETS SOLD IN THE BOOKSTORE. REPORTED THAT THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA JUST IN-STALLED A NEW SECURITY SYSTEM WITH LIGHTWAYS AND CALL BOXES. CALLING TO SEE PLAN. MENTIONED THAT NAVAJO COLLEGE WANTS TO HAVE A RETREAT FOR THEIR SENATORS HERE IN LAS VEGAS AT UNLV. SENATOR RAMSEY ASKED WHEN THEY WANTED THE RETREAT. MIKE WASN'T SURE. BARBARA MCFARLAND GAVE REPORT FOR KAREN SPLAWN, YELLIN REBEL COMPUTER EQUIPMENT HAS ARRIVED. PRESENTLY KAREN IS IN NEW ORLEANS. THERE ARE THREE ITEMS ON THE AGENDA CONCERNING THE YELL. THE ONE FOR $700 IS FOR BETTER PAPER AND ONE FOR THE DECEMBER 1ST ISSUE WHICH WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE ORIGINAL BID. THERE IS ALSO AN ITEM REGARDING THE FINANCIAL AID PAPER FOR $13 00 FOR WHICH THE CONTRACT HAS ALREADY BEEN PASSED OUT. BUSINESS OFFICE REPORT REPORTED THAT TO PAY KARI COZINE, SENATE PRESIDENT PRO-TEMPORE FOR THE 9 DAYS OUT WOULD ONLY COST $31, IF THE SENATE APPROVES WOULD LIKE TO PAY HER FOR THE ENTIRE TIME INSTEAD OF PROCESSING ALL THE PAPERWORK OVER AGAIN. PAT TOUHY REPORTED THAT THERE IS A SNAG IN THE SELECTION PROCESS FOR LEGAL SERVICE AND ALL MUST BE APPROVED BY AFFIRMATIVE ACTION AND THERE MAY BE A NEED TO ANNOUNCE THE POSITION IN A NATIONAL PUBLICATION. MENTIONED THAT STUDENT SERVICES COL-LECTED $70 FOR THE WEEK. REPORTED THAT NEXT SEMESTER STUDENT SERVICES WILL BE MAKING THE CSUN BLUE BOOKS WITHOUT NEVADA BEVERAGE BECAUSE THEY ARE UNWILLING TO GIVE CSUN MORE BILL-ING. WILL COST A BIT MORE THAN THE $75 PER 1000 BUT THIS WILL GET CSUN'S NAME OUT. SCANTRONS ARE GOING TO BE STAMPED BY THE NIGHT SECRETARY. WILL BE PURCHASING A 3 ' X 6' BANNER TO HANG IN THE UNION WHICH LISTS CSUN'S SERVICES. STUDENT SERVICES HAS SPONSORED ORIENTATION BY BUYING FOLDERS THE COST OF WHICH WAS $400. A FLYER WILL ALSO BE INCLUDED. DR. STRATE WROTE A LETTER THANING STUDENT SERVICES FOR THE IN-FORMATION HE RECEIVED. WILL BE TAKING TWO SWEATSHIRTS TO CONFERENCE TO DONATE TO AN AUCTION FOR A HOMELESS FOUNDA-TION. WILL ALSO BE TAKING PENCILS. RAY FRANKULIN WILL HAVE A BALANCE REPORT EVERY TWO WEEKS. PRESIDENT BUNIN ANSWERED THAT APPEARANCE WAS IMPORTANT SENATOR HOFFMAN MENTIONED THAT IT IS IMPORTANT FOR CSUN TO OFFER GOOD SALARIES AND FEE WAIVERS TO ATTRACT QUALITY PEOPLE. STEVE EVENSON WAS USING A LOOPHOLE TO TRY TO GET PAY FOR PUBLICATIONS CHAIR AND THAT IS WHY HE WAS AGAINST IT THEN. NOW, ALLEN DESERVES IT. DOESN'T HAVE ANY JEFF GEIHS JOKE BUT NOTICES THAT THERE WAS SOME JEFF GEIHS MIMICKING DURING THE MEETING. THANKED THE SENATE FOR THE RAISES AND STIPENDS. MENTIONED THAT THE SLOW DOWN ON GETTING AN ATTORNEY WAS A BUREAUCRATIC ONE. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NEW SENATORS . UPSET ABOUT THE WAY LANDERS WAS TREATED. MENTIONED THAT MSU WANTS TO CHARGE CSUN FOR UTILITIES. TOLD MSU THAT CSUN WOULD NOT PAY BECAUSE MSU AL-READY GETS $600,00 0 FROM STUDENTS FEES AND HAVING CSUN PAY WOULD BE DOUBLE DIPPING. MSU SAID THEN THEY WOULD NOT DOUBLE OUR SQUARE FOOTAGE. THERE IS A MEETING WITH MAXSON NEXT WEDENSDAY AT 11 AM. BELIEVE TAHT PRESIDENT MAXSON WILL BE FAVORABLE. SENATE PRESIDENT PRO-TEMPORE COZINE MENTIONED THAT ONLY 1/2 THE SENATORS SHOWED TO THE PAR-LIAMENTARY PROCEDURE MEETING. THESE ARE BENEFICIAL ONLY IF ALL SHOW UP. THANKED TYRONE AND GINA FOR THEIR EXPERTISE. MENTINED THAT SHE AGREES WITH SENATOR HOFFMAN 100%. IT WAS RUDE TO MAKE COMMENTS AND LAUGH. WELCOMED THE NEW SENATORS. NOTICED THAT JEFF GEIHS IS WEARING BOOTS AND YOU CAN'T SEE HIS SOCKS. SAID GOODBYE TO TYRONE AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY. MEN-TIONED THAT TYRONE HAS REALLY HELPED DURING THE MEETINGS. IT WILL BE HARD TO FIND SOMEONE TO FILL HIS SHOES. TYRONE SENATE PRESIDENT POLOVINA AFTER TALKING TO MIKE RUSSELL SHE FELT SOME DISSENTION IN THE ENGINEERING COLLEGE. THE ENGINEERING SENATORS GAVE CSUN A CARD IN GOOD NATURE ON MONDAY AND MIKE CAME TO SPEAK TO HER ON TUESDAY. VERY SHOCKED THAT ANYONE WOULD BE UP-SET. THE JOKE WAS MEANT TO MAKE THE SENATORS FEEL PART OF CSUN. PAIGE ZIELINSKI WAS A FRIEND AND WOULD IN NO WAY WOULD SHE (GINA) DEGRADE THE ENGINEERING COLLEGE. MET MANY ENGINEERING STUDENTS DURING CAMPAIGN. CONGRATULATED ALLEN CHASTAIN AND MIKE KENNEDY. CONGRATULATED NEW SENATORS. MEN-TIONED THAT THE VICE PRESIDENT OF ASUN WAS 1 OF 8 STUDENT GOVERNMENT REPRESENTATIVES IN THE WEST TO BE INVITED TO AT-TEND A STUDENT GOVERNMENT CONFERENCE IN THE SOVIET UNION. MENTIONED TO PHIL THAT THE INTENT WAS NOT TO EMBARRAS SENATORS. HAPPY 2 5TH TO TYRONE. MENTIONED THAT THE REQUIREMENTS FOR SENATE SECRETARY ARE A STUDENT TAKING AT LEAST 6 CREDITS AND IN GOOD STANDING. MENTIONED WITH TYRONE LEAVING THERE IS NO LUXURY. TYRONE WAS A BIG HELP. X.
