City Engineer Wade requested permission to spend $6,000 for processing of 10,000 yards of gravel for use by the Street Department. Mr. Wade advised the Commission that the Clark County Road Department will perform this service at cost. Commissioner Sharp moved that authorization be given to issue a purchase order not to exceed 10,000 square yards of gravel at 60¢ per yard to the Clark County Road Department for processing gravel for use by the Street Department. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Whipple. City Engineer Wade presented the map showing the proposed location for the road for the Rehabilitation Farm and Sewer Disposal plant. Commissioner Fountain moved that the plot plan for the location of the road for the Rehabilitation Farm and Sewer Plant be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Whipple. City Engineer Wade requested a four weeks extension of time of equipment rental of a Cat and Scraper to be used for road construction. Commissioner Fountain moved that a purchase order be authorized to be issued to Cashman for rental of a Cat and a Scraper for an additional four weeks from January 27, 1957 to be used for road construction. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Whipple. Commissioner Bunker moved that the Public Works Department be instructed to prepare plans and specifications and the City Clerk authorized to advertise for bids for light globes. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Whipple. On motion of Commissioner Bunker, duly seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried unanimously, the deed from Susanna J. Mankiewicz for Owens Avenue is accepted and the City Clerk instructed to draw up the standard resolution accepting the deed which is hereby adopted, and the City Clerk authorized to have the deed recorded: WHEREAS, the City of Las Vegas has deemed it necessary to acquire certain property hereinafter referred to for the purpose of the extension of Owens Avenue, and WHEREAS, the City has purchased said property from the legal owner thereof, NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Commissioner Wendell Bunker duly seconded by Commissioner Harris P. Sharp, and carried unanimously, the following resolution is adopted, and order made: BE IT RESOLVED, this 19th day of December, 1956, by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, that the deed dated the 12th day of December, 1956, executed by Susanna J. Mankiewicz, Joseph S. Mankiewicz, Mary Magdalene Mankiewicz unto the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the real property described therein be, and is hereby accepted, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be attached to said deed, and that the same be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and this resolution be filed in the records of this Board. On motion of Commissioner Bunker, duly seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried unanimously, the deed from Ancell G. Brown for Owens Avenue is accepted and the City Clerk instructed to draw up the standard resolution accepting the deed which is hereby adopted, and the City Clerk authorized to have the deed recorded: WHEREAS, the City of Las Vegas has deemed it necessary to acquire certain property hereinafter referred to for the purpose of the extension of Owens Avenue, and WHEREAS, the City has purchased said property from the legal owner thereof, NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Commissioner Wendell Bunker, duly seconded by Commissioner Harris P.
