Mr. Toland #4 January 30, 1941 la addition to replacement of old water lines with new east iron, the following improvements in the water system were also made during 1940: On Maroh 8, 1940, Well No. 3 was drilled to a depth of 800*. A perforated liner was installed and the easing was cemented at the top so its production could be shut off when not actually required. The production is 939,600 gallons per day and the production was available from April 30th, When transmission main was completed, until December 28th, when well was shut in. 800*, the interior arrangement being the same as for Well Mo, 3, so its supply could be conserved when not actually required. Its production is 650,960 gallons per dny, and its supply was available from June 22nd, when transmission main was completed, until October 4th, When well was shut in. during 1940, a perforated liner being installed and the casing cemented at the top so its production could be conserved. This well wae also shut in October 4th, after the heavy demand in the City had lessened. There Is also attached, for your information, a statement indicating production from all sources at Las Vegas, the amount used by the Water Company, the amount sold and utilised by the Railroad company, and the surplus permitted to run down Lae Vegas Creek for irrigation purposes at the Ranch. If we can furnish any additional information to assist you in preparation of this report, please let us know and we will be glad to forward same promptly.
