Form 5527-B Thin U N I O N P A C I F I C R A I L R O A D C O M P A N Y 3-51-500M S A V ^ T E L E G R A P H I N G MAILGRAM S A V E T E L E G R A P H IN G Mr. w. R. Rousex Mr. E. E. Bennett-Los Angeles: (CC - Mr. V. R. Hulsizer) Omaha - May 19, 1954 ?c S? , ^ ' I c\ o\ V 1295t4 This refers to Mr. Hul sizer’s letter of January 26* 1950, file 3703.1, copy attached for ready reference, shoving the general administrative, management, engineering, legal and accounting expenses, separated as between LVL&WCo.. and LA&SLBRCo. lias Vegas water facilities. With the discontinuance of our Joint facility rental bills against the LVL&WCo. as of August 1, 1953, billing for the amount of #3,037.00 shown in Mr. Hulsizer’s letter {appropriately expanded to include subsequent wage increases) was also discontinued. The item of accounting in the amount of #312.00 included in this billing, represents the cost of preparing the joint facility rent bill and, accordingly, omission of this item from billing after August 1 , 1 9 5 3 appears in order. However, Mr. Hulsizer advises that the other services, i.e., Executive, Manager of Properties, and General Manager of Properties, are still being performed and will continue until consummation of sale of the water facilities to the Las Vegas Valley Water District. Accordingly, it appears that current billing for these services should be reinstated and retroactive billing to August 1, 1 9 5 3 submitted to the LVL&WCo. for payment. Will you please furnish your views so that appropriate action may be taken promptly. D-7 3 6 . RR. M. SUTTpHp 704-35
