BID NO. 59.35 The Commission considered the recommendation of the Public Works Department that Traffic Signal Revision; Bid No. 59.35 for the installation of the traffic signal revision at the intersection 5th and San Francisco of 5th Street and San Francisco Avenue be awarded to the Nevada Electric Company, 317 Wall Street, in the amount of $3,864.00. Award Nevada Electric Company Director of Public Works Sauer stated that this was the only bid received and that the engineer's estimate for this installation was $2,775.63, and although the bid received was higher it could still be considered within range. He further advised that the City's proportionate share for 1/3 of this cost would be $1,288.00. This would be in accordance with agreement between the City, County and State dated February 16, 1959. Commissioner Fountain moved that Bid No. 59.35 for the installation of the traffic signal revision at the intersection of 5th Street and San Francisco Avenue be awarded to the Nevada Electric Company, 317 Wall Street, in the amount of $3,864.00, and the City's proportionate share of this cost to be $1,288.00. Motion seconded by Commissioner Elwell and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain and His Honor Acting Mayor Pro Tem Sharp voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor C. D. Baker and Mayor Pro Tem Reed Whipple. BID OPENING 59.42 This being the time heretofore set for the Bid Opening No. 59.42 for a 4-door 4-Door Sedan 8-cylinder Sedan (1938-59 Budget), bids were received as follows: Referred to Public Works Community Chevrolet Co. $ 2,213.59 Gaudin Motor Co. 2,140.17 Commissioner Fountain asked what this sedan was to be used for and City Manager Kennedy stated that it was to replace the City Manager's Station Wagon which was going to the Director of Public Works. Commissioner Fountain moved that the above bids be referred to the City Manager and Director of Public Works for recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Elwell and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain and His Honor Acting Mayor Pro Tem Sharp voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor C. D.
