    AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION STATE OF NEVADA,) COUNTY OF CLARK ) Carl Woodbury being first duly sworn, deposes and says: That he is auditor of the LAS VEGAS EVENING REVIEW-JOURNAL, a daily newspaper, of general circulation, printed and published at Las Vegas, in the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the attached was continuously published in said newspaper for a period of 2 insertions from April 14, 1950 to April 21. 1950 inclusive, being the issues of said newspaper for the following dates, to-wit: April 14 and April 21, 1950. ORDINANCE NO. 411 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 211 OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS ENTITLED: "AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE TO PROHIBIT THE WASTE OF WATER; DEFINING WASTE OF WATER; REGULATING THE USE THEREOF; LIMITING THE TIME DURING WHICH WATER MAY BE USED FOR SPRINKLING OR IRRIGATION, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE, AND RE­PEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH"; ALSO REFERRED TO AS CHAPTER 37, SECTION 7 OF THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE, AND TO REPEAL ORDINANCE NO. 302 ENTITLED: "AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE TO REGULATE THE USE OF WATER IN WOOD­LAND. PARK ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS BETWEEN THE MONTHS OF MAY 15 AND SEPTEMBER 15 INCLUSIVE; AND DEFIN­ING THE REGULATION OF WATER; REGULATING THE USE THEREOF; AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDI­NANCE; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH", ALSO KNOWN AS CHAPTER 37, SECTIONS 8 and 9 OF THE LAS VEGAS CITY CODE. The Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas do ordain as follows: Section 1. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 211 of the City of Las Vegas, also referred to as Chapter 37, Sec­tion 7 of the Las Vegas City Code, is hereby amended to read as follows: The use of water from any water system belonging to any public utility for the purpose of sprinkling, irri­gating or watering lawns, trees, hedges, gardens or the grounds during the months of June 1st to September 15 inclusive, is hereby prohibited between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M., and between the hours of 12:00 Midnight and 5:00 A.M. Section 2. Ordinance No. 302, also known as Chapter 37, Sections 8 and 9, of the Las Vegas City Code, is hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its final reading and adoption, and final publication as in the next section provided. Section 4. The City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas shall cause this ordinance to be published once a week for two successive weeks immediately following its first reading and adop­tion, in the Las Vegas Review Journal, a daily newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas. The above and foregoing Ordinance was first proposed and read by title to the Board of Commissioners on the 21st day of April , 1950, and referred to the following committee composed of Commissioners Moore and Whipple for recommendation; thereafter the said committee reported favorably on said Ordinance on the 25th day of April, 1950. which was the special meeting of said Board of Commissioners; that at said special meeting held on the 25th day of April , 1950, the proposed Ordinance was read in full to the Board of City Commissioners as first introduced and adopted by the following vote: Voting "Aye": Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor______ Voting, "Nay": None Absent: None_____________________________________________________________________________ APPROVED S/ E.
