Receipt of the foregoing notice is hereby admitted this________day of March, 1930 . R.E. Hazard Contracting Company. By__________________________ Its_____________________ and authorized agent. and that such triplicate of said notice be filed with and by the Clerk of this Board, the City Clerk of the City of Las Vegas. The vote on said Resolution was as follows; Commissioner German, Thomas, and Hansell, and His Honor the Mayor J.F. Hesse, voting Aye. Noes None. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time the meeting re­cessed until Monday the 31st day of March at the hour of eight P.M. OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK, CITY OF LAS VEGAS, CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA. April 3rd, 1930. At a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas held on the 3rd day of April 1930 at the hour of three o'clock P.M. Present Mayor Hesse, Commissioners Thomas, Hansell, Smith, and German together with the City Attorney and Clerk. All bills allowed as per "Claims and Warrant Register" on file in the office of the Clerk. Monies received for the month of March as follows: $1060.00 Fines. 2035.00 Donation to Library Fund. 864.95 Licenses, fees sale of cemetery lots. 3959.95 Total. Monies proportioned as follows: $2,035.00 Library fund 84.00 Water, Sewer & Light Fund. 30.00 Cemetery Fund. 1,810.95 Police & Fire Fund. 3,959.95 Total Money transferred: $500.00 from General Fund to Police and Fire Fund. Upon motion duly made seconded and carried the following gaming licenses were granted, same having been approved by Police and Fire Commissioner Thomas, and money to cover said licenses being paid to the Clerk at the time said applications were made. Licenses granted as follows: Leo, Kind, Sanders & Hodges, J. R. Boyer, F. S. Le Roy, Gilmore and Horden, A. De Vorin, and Wm. Jones each for two tables, and A. T. Mc Carter, and the Boulder Club for three tables. Motion introduced by Commissioner Thomas, seconded by Commissioner Hansell, vote on said motion was as follows: Commissioners Thomas, German, Hansell, and Smith, and His Honor the Mayor J. F. Hesse, voting Aye. Nones None. Upon motion of Commissioner Hansell seconded by Commissioner Thomas it was moved that the resignation of F. A. Thomason be accepted, and that R. H. Elser be appointed Plumbing Inspector, to furnish a bond of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) Vote on said motion was as follows: Commissioners Thomas, German, Hansell, and Smith, and His Honor the Mayor voting Aye. Noes none. Upon motion of Commissioner Hansell, seconded by Commissioner German it was moved that if Plumbing Permit No. 101 was not found same to be cancelled. Said permit was lost tract of during the change in the office of Plumbing Inspector. Vote on said motion was as follows: Commissioner Thomas, German, Hansell, and Smith and His Honor the Mayor voting Aye. Noes None. Upon motion of Commissioner Thomas, seconded by Commissioner German it was moved that the sum of $50.00 be paid Marjorie Goodwin from the Police and Fire Fund, as she had put in considerable time in the Police Dept. during the month of March. Vote on said motion was as follows: Commissioner Thomas, German, Hansell, and Smith, and His Honor the Mayor J. F. Hesse voting Aye. Noes None. At this time the Board took up the matter of providing for a special City Election at which should be submitted the question as to whether Mayor J. F. Hesse should be recalled from such office, the City Clerk having issued a call for such election to be held on Wednesday the 23rd day of April 1930.
